Cancer is a bitch isn’t it?
Two greats from the Silver Screen, David Bowie and Alan Rickman, died last week from Cancer, along with thousands of others across the world no doubt.
Both, just 69 years old.
Way too young.
In fact, cancer kills about 7.6 million people every year worldwide, which works out to be about just over 146,000 on a weekly basis.
Shocking statistics really.
4 out of 10 can be attributed to poor lifestyles choices and the rest, well who knows what the cause is.
But I’m not here to talk about Cancer.
Life can be way too short and I think we sometimes forget that.
Many of us are plodding along in life, working every day, paying the bills and sometimes forget that life can be snatched away from us in an instant.
My point is, if there is something in your life that you want to change, then change it.
Don’t wait until the time is right because that time may never come.
Life is the most precious thing we have so we must use every minute we can, doing things that we love with the people we care about.
If you are unhappy in your job and want to do something else then start looking today. Do something positive in the way of looking for that dream job or career.
Don’t get stuck doing something you hate.
If your finances are a mess, then get some advice today on how to turn that around. Don’t bury your head like an ostrich in the sand.
If your health needs addressing, don’t wait until you are seriously ill or overweight before you do something about it.
Take some action now whilst you can and know that your health is all you have really.
Without it, nothing else on this planet matters.
Life is for living and living well.
How are you living your life?
Are you getting up on a Monday morning and looking forward to the week ahead or are you hitting snooze several times and wishing it was still Sunday?
I’m not trying to make you feel miserable.
I’m trying to help you understand that there is far more out there than many of us realise and we need to take the bull by the horns sometimes, instead of just accepting what we have and where we are.
Whether you believe we evolved from monkeys, or God created the world and us in seven days, I don’t believe we were meant to spend most of our life doing something we don’t enjoy and in bad health.
I’m quite sure that David Bowie and Alan Rickman saw their fair share of the world and enjoyed many of life’s pleasures, but if you told them when they were young that they would die at age 69, perhaps they would have done things differently.
Then again, maybe not
To reiterate, life can be way too short so get out there and live life to the fullest.
You never know what is around the corner.
Have a great Monday everybody.
